Ship and Mitre B will be hoping to keep a run of four wins in their last five games going when they welcome Claremont to Dale Street on Monday.
Claremont are currently flying at the top of the Liverpool Open Darts League, with only one defeat all season and could have the title sewn up in four to five weeks, depending on results.
They come in to this game off the back of a 5-4 victory at the home of last years champions and their closest challengers for the title Gateway.
It will be a huge test for Mitre, despite their recent form and captain Peter Mylchreest admitted the target is making sure they avoid the whitewash. He said: “The first target will be to avoid the whitewash. And then we’ll try and win more than we did in the reverse fixture.”
The reverse fixture saw Mitre lose 8-1 in Anfield.
A win for Ship and Mitre B would put them above Masons should they lose at the Oak Tree and level on points with Ship and Mitre A if they lose at O.D.V.A. However a defeat wouldn’t overly affect their position, O.D.V.A. could go above them should they win.
As ever, we will be doing a live feed on Twitter for those, who cant make it to the game, follow us on @ShipMitreB
