Skipper Peter Mylchreest is through in the Charlie Frost tournament after seeing off his opponent from The Glasshouse last night.
The game was originally supposed to be played following the league match on Monday night, which Mitre won 5-4, but both parties had just forgotten about it.
However, following consultation with league secretary Rob Gerrard, they were told the game had to be played this week otherwise both teams would be disqualified.
So Mylchreest headed to Vauxhall Road to play the game and he won the best of three game 2-0.
Mylchreest said: “Rob Warbrick usually plays the Charlie Frost games for us, but considering we had no time to arrange anything else, I had to play instead.”
He joins Keith Parkinson from Newstead A, Steve Geddes from Peg Legs, who was one dart away from a six dart leg in his game, Mick Brooks from the Gateway, another one who was one dart away from completing the perfect leg, Alan Condon from Newstead B, Steve Leek from the Oak Tree, Ian Fazakerly from Ship and Mitre A and Danny Wooder from O.D.V.A. in the next round.
