Anfield pub the Claremont have taken a huge step towards securing the Liverpool Open Darts League title after a 5-4 victory at last years champions and their nearest rivals Gateway. They are now six points clear of the Bootle pub with eight games left of the season.

Newstead A’s title hopes have now all but evaporated after suffering a 5-4 defeat at home to Queen of Martyrs in what will be a repeat of this years Presidents Cup final.

Dingle Hotel, the Peg Legs have stopped their recent losing run with a 6-3 victory in Old Swan against Masons.

The Oak Tree have also done their position in the table no harm after picking up a 6-3 win against The Melbourne, in another game played at the Masons following the Melbourne’s relocation.

The Liver Vaults, who are now also just playing for pride, narrowly avoided defeat at home to the league’s bottom side Newstead B, edging them 5-4.

Stockbridge Village pun The Village Inn’s revival in 2017 continues to gather pace after another narrow victory as they won 5-4 at home against Ship and Mitre A.

And Anfield pub the Arkles won convincingly 7-2 at Bootle pub O.D.V.A. to keep their mid table position.
