The pairs field has been narrowed from 32 to four following Monday nights events.
At the Gateway, it was Keith and Sean Farrell of Peg Legs who came through that group after seeing off the competition.
And the success for Peg Legs didn’t end there. Steve Geddes and Billy Swann were victorious at the Newstead after beating off their competition.
Also through are Mick Brooks and Brian McDonnell of the Gateway, who came through their group of eight at Old Swan pub the Masons.
And in the group where Peter Mylchreest and Ged Lofthouse were supposed to be playing in, but had to forfeit due to the skipper being on holiday, it was Steven and Robbie Leek of the Oak Tree who were victorious at the Claremont, beating off competition from the Gateway and from the Arkles as well.
The final will be played on June 19, once the league season is over.
