Mitre prepare for A team battle

Ship and Mitre B are the away team and they hope to carry on a run of two straight wins against an A team who continue to slide down the table.

In their last games, B beat O.D.V.A. 6-3 for a second consecutive win, while the A team were beaten 9-0 at Gateway, a second whitewash in three weeks after being beaten at home to Newstead A, sandwiched in the middle of a 6-3 win at Masons.

The  A team won both encounters between the teams last year, winning 6-3 and 5-4 in the two games, although B did win the previous encounter this season as they won 5-4.

The B team on the whole though do have a good record against the A team and despite losing four of the last six games, had won the previous three games against them.

Captain Peter Mylchreest recently mentioned in his column, that form goes out the window and he knows they will have a full team and he hopes they will do the same.

The last two games, Sip and Mitre B have been able to field a full team, and both games they have won following an 11 game losing streak.

There is also an extra incentive for the B team as a win will put them just two points behind their rivals. With any chance of winning the league gone for both teams, they can only focus now on the local bragging rights.

As always, we will be doing a live feed of the match on Twitter, if you want to keep up to date with the match, give us a follow @ShipMitreB.
