Leaders Claremont just keep on winning after securing a 6-3 win at home to Melbourne on Monday.

They remain four points ahead of Gateway, although the Bootle pub do have a game in hand, after they handed out a 9-0 drubbing to Ship and Mitre A.

Newstead A remained two points behind the Gateway after handing out a 9-0 thrashing of their own as they beat Liver Vaults, eliminating any chance they have of an unlikely title.

A 6-3 defeat at Arkles for Peg Legs has all but knocked them out of title contention as they are now 10 points behind Claremont at the top.

Oak Tree are now breathing down the necks of Peg Legs for that fourth spot after picking up an impressive 6-3 win at Queen of Martyrs.

Meanwhile, further down the table, Village Inn did their prospects no harm after picking up a 7-2 victory at the league’s bottom side Newstead B, who are still yet to win this season.

Masons also picked up a much needed victory to stop their recent slide as they picked up a 6-3 win at Vauxhall pub the Glasshouse.
