Claremont have maintained their four point lead at the top of the Liverpool Open Darts League with a 6-3 victory at home to title rivals Peg Legs.

They are four points ahead of last years champions Gateway, who also won at home  by the same scoreline against the Village Inn. The Bootle pub also has a game in hand on the current leaders.

Newstead A lie a further two points behind Gateway after coming through  a tiebreaker against Bootle pub O.D.V.A. They also have a game in hand against their B team which could prove vital.

Kensington pub the Liver Vaults kept their slim hopes of an unlikely title victory alive after they themselves also came through a tie breaker at home to the Melbourne.

The Oak Tree also kept themselves just behind Liver Vaults with yet another tiebreaker victory, away to the Glasshouse in Vauxhall.

Queen of Martyrs also did their position no harm with a 7-2 thrashing of Anfield pub the Arkles away from home.
