Skipper Peter Mylchreest is through in the Liverpool Open Darts League Secretary’s tournament after his opponent couldn’t play due to illness.
He was meant to be playing Ian Jones, the secretary of Newstead B, but the game couldn’t be completed.
Speaking during Mitre’s 7-2 win over the Smithdown Road pub, he said “the game isn’t going ahead. Their guy is ill so I will be seeking clarification from the league secretary about where we go from here.”
It is thought the most likely option is that Mylchreest will be claiming the game and advancing to the next round of the secretary’s tournament.
This comes just after Ship and Mitre B claimed their first win in 11 games after beating Newstead B 7-2.
They are back in action next week when they welcome Bootle pub O.D.V.A. to Dale Street for a usual nine o clock start.
