Darts is back! And the Ship and Mitre B team will be looking to end a run of 10 straight league defeats to end 2016 when they travel to the Village Inn tomorrow.
Village Inn are currently 10th in the Liverpool Open Darts League with a 50 per cent record; eight wins and eight defeats and are on a run of three wins in four games.
The Whiston side are coming into the game off the back of letting a 4-0 lead slip against Newstead A, whilst the Ship and Mitre lost 7-2 to Arkles in their last game of 2016.
They met earlier on in the season where the Village Inn won a tiebreaker at the Ship and Mitre, if they can turn that into a win, it could be an important confidence booster heading into 2017.
Skipper Peter Mylchreest recently said in his final Captains Corner of 2016 that the Village Inn were “a very good team” and eluded to the fact recent results against them have been close and he hopes the side can “make a good account of themselves.”
