Peter Mylchreest and Ged Lofthouse are through to the next round of the Pairs Cup after their opponents did not turn up.
Their opponents were from Ship and Mitre A and both teams decided to call the tie off at around 8.30pm.
Mylchreest and Lofthouse couldn’t hide their frustrations later, Mylchreest said: “We were practicing really well there and hit some big scores.”
Lofthouse added: “I was looking forward to the game, with the way I was practicing, hit a few 140s.”

They also admitted they didn’t really know who their opponents where despite always maintaining good contact with the A team .
It was then discovered that the two players were not very reliable having not attended a league game all season.
It was then decided that the best call of action would be to cancel the game and allow Lofthouse and Mylchreest to progress.
It threatened to take the shine off the night for Ship and Mitre A, who still had two pairs matches to play. They won their first game 2-0 over Queen of Martyrs and lost their second game 2-1 against Gateway.
As for the B team, It turned into a night off, but they are back in action at the Ship and Mitre next Monday night when they welcome Peg Legs.
