Ship and Mitre B will be heading back to Dale Street on Monday night to take on the league’s third placed side Newstead A.
The team from Smithdown Road will be looking to bounce back after falling to defeat at home to Gateway in their last league game a fortnight ago.
While Mitre will be looking to stop a seven game losing run in the league and may take confidence from their win last week.
Given their league position, Captain Peter Mylchreest said in his weekly block that he was “expecting a hard game but 301 on a double start can level the playing field.”
Newstead A will be wanting a win to keep the pressure on Claremont at the top of the league whereas Mitre will want a win to pull them away from the bottom of the league.
If you want to go and see the game, it is at the Ship and Mitre pub on Dale Street, just on the outskirts of the city centre.
It is on the corner of the road, just to the right of the junction to Queens Square bus station if you are approaching from that way. You can also get the train as it is a short walk from Moorfields Train Station.
