Ship and Mitre “B” look for Masons revenge in 5-a-side

Ship and Mitre “B” will be looking to avenge last Monday’s defeat to Masons when they return there for five-a-side action.

Slightly different to the league format, five-a-side only has five players instead of nine, is a 501 start instead of a 301, standard start instead of a double and the game only consists of five games.

Skipper Peter Mylchreest said he was looking forward to the game after last Monday’s defeat, he said: “We are actually able to put a team together this year so yeah I am looking forward to it.”

Monday will be the perfect chance for Ship and Mitre to stop a run of seven straight defeats and focus on a positive cup run.

It will also be a chance to go one better than on Monday after they lost a tiebreaker against the Old Swan team.

If you want to go and support the boys, the Masons Arms is on Prescot Road by Queens Drive. If you are coming from there, turn right by the Navigator and it is just up that road. If you are getting there via public transport, the 10a stops right outside and the 81 also stops right by the Navigator on Queens Drive.
