Claremont have gone four points clear at the top of the Liverpool Open Darts League after thrashing one of their nearest rivals Liver Vaults 8-1.

This is after Newstead “A” lost ground them after falling to a 6-3 defeat at home to Gateway, another heavyweight clash at the top of the league.

Arkles also lost ground again on the chasing pack after falling in what was the third tiebreaker of the night against Glasshouse.

Ship and Mitre “A” put last week’s heavy defeat against Claremont behind them with a 6-3 victory over Queen of Martyrs.

Melbourne claimed a second straight victory with a 5-4 victory over the leagues bottom side: Newstead “B”, perhaps a closer game than Melbourne wanted or anticipated.

Peg Legs have also moved joint second after a convincing 6-3 victory over O.D.V.A and Village Inn moved further away from the bottom sides after beating the Oak Tree by the same score line.
