Ship and Mitre captain Peter Mylchreest was left reeling after he lost his sides’ tiebreaker against Masons last night.
Mylchreest missed six match darts to win the game and was eventually punished by Carl Blackman.
He said after the game: “It wasn’t unlucky. I was unlucky with missing the 110 checkout on D16 but missing three darts at D16 and at three at D8, that’s bad.”
As a result, Mitre have now lost seven games in a row and are edging closer to the bottom of the Liverpool Open Darts League.
